Mode of Action

Based on the dysregulated immune regulation within the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis, the autoreactive T cell bypasses the selection in the thymus, reaches the periphery and, together with other immune cells, infiltrate the joints, where the inflammation is driven. After administration of AC-001, which acts on the antigen specific T cell, the immunological imbalance will be recovered due to the induction of regulatory T cells and the inflammation in the joints will be stopped.
